Samuel Pittman, St. Louis Alumnus, among Who’s Who in Black Detroit publication

Samuel Pittman gained another entry in the annals of historical “Firsts” when he joined other professionals of African heritage to be listed in the inaugural edition of "Who's Who in Black Detroit." The citation reads:
Samuel Pittman serves as an Application Engineer for Dynetics Inc., a full-service engineering company within its Industrial Automation group. With demanding customers domestically and internationally, Samuel is responsible for supporting custom engineering solutions involving computer hardware software, wireless networks, electrical analysis, marketing, and business development. His work helps ensure product quality and process efficiency within automakers assembly facilities throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Austria.
Samuel was also the first African-American male to graduate with a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and he did so as an INROADS Alumnus of the Pre College component who continued to college graduation. He interned at Mallinckrodt, Inc. and Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Samuel has been recognized for leadership and accomplishment within numerous organizations including INROADS and NSBE. He is also an entrepreneur, public speaker, and founder of Minority Speak, a forthcoming new minority-focused magazine. In 2003, he founded The Pittman Inc., a Michigan for-profit corporation specializing in magazine publishing and personalized services.
