Steven A. Davis, Wisconsin Alumnus is the first INROADS Alum to Chair the Board of a Fortune 500 Corporation

Steven A. Davis, 47, Chief Executive Officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc. has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board. Davis had been acting as interim chair since September 2006.
In an October interview with INROADS Communications, Steven observed. "When I first got into INROADS, if someone made it to a Director or VP level it was big news. So the next hurdle was someone had to make President. Well, now we are making CEO levels and some of us are Board Members. Who knows, soon an INROADS Intern will be the first to make Chairman.” Now, he is the first INROADS Alum to realize that goal!
Commenting on Steven’s appointment, the board's new lead independent director, Mike Gasser said, "Steve Davis has done an outstanding job as the company's chief executive officer in his first six months, and his appointment to the additional position of chairman of the board is well-deserved. His broad knowledge of the restaurant and packaged foods industries, disciplined management style and tremendous enthusiasm are clearly benefiting Bob Evans Farms."
Steven interned with Kraft Foods, where he began his career in the food industry. While head of Yum Brands! Long John Silvers restaurants, he was very supportive of INROADS Dallas. He currently serves on INROADS Alumni Executive Roundtable. He holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Steven and his wife Lynda have three children; Brittany, 21; Stephanie, 16; and Cassaundra, 6.
